2014 is in full gear and we’re excited to share how with your support and the support of our company sponsors, we’re making a big impact. Just a few weeks ago, we shipped two containers of medical supplies to Bethel Hospital. The supplies donated by our generous partners at Ambitex and Cedar Sinai and orchestrated by Jacob Hansen at Universal Shipping, included everything from trauma shears to pressure cuffs to an x-ray viewing table.
Since early 2013, we’ve been working with Bethel Teaching Hospital in Ethiopia to improve not only access to healthcare, but also the quality of it. Together our plan is to expand the hospital’s current services, acquire new and innovative medical equipment, and facilitate a more comprehensive and holistic experience for patients. Our plan for the hospital’s new neuroscience center includes six additional operating rooms, radiation therapy for cancer patients, and a new Intensive Care Unit and Trauma Center.
