Medical Research

technician using microscopeFar too many people – most notably children and young adults – die each year from diseases that are very much preventable and/or treatable, including HIV/AIDS. As the Foundation is guided by the principle that all lives, no matter the circumstances, have equal value, we made medical research and education one of the core values upon which we were founded.

Our mission in this area is to encourage the development and advancement of lifesaving treatments, as well as promote heightened awareness as a means of prevention. We focus funding in the following areas:

  • Making existing tools (vaccines, drugs, etc.) to fight diseases available in all communities
  • Research to develop solutions that are effective, affordable, and practical
  • Awareness program that serve to educate those considered “at risk” on positive health and/or lifestyle choices

Organizations that we have partnered with include Hoops4Africa, Children’s Hospital’s Teen Life Club, and the National Foundation for Cancer Research.
